Summer Fun

We have been having a pretty busy summer as usual. We are literally spending every day playing, whether it be with our daycare friends, family or any of our other friends, this summer has been a nonstop party of sorts.

We celebrated Ma and Mrs Craig's birthdays back at the end of June.

Maggie and her strawberry face!

I had to throw this picture in here of  Maggie watching TV with her little friends. So cute.

We also had some family visiting from out of state in early July. Here is Maggie playing with her Great Great Aunt Vicki.

Maggie's first 4th of July parade. It was rainy at first but once the parade started the sun was shinning!

The fire trucks at the beginning of the parade did not go over very well. Maggie does not do well with loud noises so she sat hiding in my lap with my hand over her ears for that portion of the parade.

Waving her flag.

She loved all the bands that played through out the parade and danced the whole time. I don't think her feet stopped for more than a second. Notice the lollipop in her hand, I think she may have been on a little bit of a sugar high.

The rest of the afternoon we spent with family at a cookout. Maggie had lots of fun playing with her cousins.

She had even more fun swimming. She was a little fish that day and even got comfortable in the water to a point where she wouldn't let me hold on to her.

Enjoying a favorite summer treat.

It's always a perfect day when spent with family and friends. My husband Jonny tried to get the day off but was not able to. He was very disappointed to have missed out on seeing Maggie experience the day. Hopefully next year he can enjoy the day with us.

Daycare Days of Summer

It's been a hot and hazy summer so far. The heat has put a little bit of a damper on our outside play but we are still having fun.

I know I'm a little a late with his but I wanted to share our Father's day project with you all.

We did the same type of worksheet for Dad as we did for Mom, of course.

We also did footprints with an adorable footprint poem I found online.

When we are having and extra hot or rainy day I like to bring the outdoors in. The children love to do sand and water play.

One of our Favorite activities is to roll out paper, tape it to the floor and let the children create!

They love to trace there hands and feet during this activity.

And trace their friends' hands and feet.

This is a fun and easy project we did for the 4th of July. We used star shaped cookie cutters with red, white, and blue paint to make these great stamps.

We have also been doing a lot of water play outside with the sprinkler and small pool. Stay tuned for more fun summer pics!
