Camping is always a fun theme to do in the summer time. We did this back in August, sorry I am a little slow with my posts.
The children loved playing in the tent we made inside.
We told stories together then it was time for bed.
Of course the real tent outside was a hit as well. We talked about all the things we would need to bring with us camping and then told more stories about an adventure in the woods.
This was as close as we could get to a real campfire and of course I didn't have any brown construction paper so I had to have them color it in...lol!

2012 Summer Olympics
There is always a week in the Summer where sports is one of our themes so this year we turned it in to our very own Olympic Games where everyone won a gold medal.
We had a hula hoop contest...
And we played kickball!
We also had relay races but I wasn't able to snap any pics of that.
Everyone was so proud with there gold medals! It was a fun week!

Our Growing Family
We are very happy to announce that we will be adding a new bundle of joy to our family! Baby Dennen #2 is due February 8th. I already have a Christmas baby and this next little one will be my sweet Valentine.
So far this pregnancy has not been the easiest but as I am now getting into my second trimester I can slowly feel myself start to regain energy and an appetite. This baby is a very active little bugger that I can already feel moving around on occasion. It was amazing to watch him/her do acrobats in my belly at my last ultrasound. We will be finding out in September what we are having so stay tuned!
Maggie is a very excited little girl and tells everyone she sees that she is going to be a big sister. I can't wait to see her reaction when she sees this baby for the first time. I am so blessed to have such a wonderful little family.

Summer Fun
We have been having a pretty busy summer as usual. We are literally spending every day playing, whether it be with our daycare friends, family or any of our other friends, this summer has been a nonstop party of sorts.
We celebrated Ma and Mrs Craig's birthdays back at the end of June.
Maggie and her strawberry face!
I had to throw this picture in here of Maggie watching TV with her little friends. So cute.
We also had some family visiting from out of state in early July. Here is Maggie playing with her Great Great Aunt Vicki.
Maggie's first 4th of July parade. It was rainy at first but once the parade started the sun was shinning!
The fire trucks at the beginning of the parade did not go over very well. Maggie does not do well with loud noises so she sat hiding in my lap with my hand over her ears for that portion of the parade.
Waving her flag.
She loved all the bands that played through out the parade and danced the whole time. I don't think her feet stopped for more than a second. Notice the lollipop in her hand, I think she may have been on a little bit of a sugar high.
The rest of the afternoon we spent with family at a cookout. Maggie had lots of fun playing with her cousins.
She had even more fun swimming. She was a little fish that day and even got comfortable in the water to a point where she wouldn't let me hold on to her.
.
Enjoying a favorite summer treat.
It's always a perfect day when spent with family and friends. My husband Jonny tried to get the day off but was not able to. He was very disappointed to have missed out on seeing Maggie experience the day. Hopefully next year he can enjoy the day with us.
Daycare Days of Summer
It's been a hot and hazy summer so far. The heat has put a little bit of a damper on our outside play but we are still having fun.
I know I'm a little a late with his but I wanted to share our Father's day project with you all.
This is a fun and easy project we did for the 4th of July. We used star shaped cookie cutters with red, white, and blue paint to make these great stamps.
I know I'm a little a late with his but I wanted to share our Father's day project with you all.
We did the same type of worksheet for Dad as we did for Mom, of course.
We also did footprints with an adorable footprint poem I found online.
When we are having and extra hot or rainy day I like to bring the outdoors in. The children love to do sand and water play.
One of our Favorite activities is to roll out paper, tape it to the floor and let the children create!
They love to trace there hands and feet during this activity.
And trace their friends' hands and feet.

We have also been doing a lot of water play outside with the sprinkler and small pool. Stay tuned for more fun summer pics!
